Humour in BSL

BSL humour is one way in which Deaf humour can be expressed. Deaf humour is often different from hearing humour and the topics of the jokes and the way they are told will be different. Humour may be non-linguistic as well as linguistic, and Deaf people enjoy visual humour even where language is not the medium for the humour (such as slapstick). However the language used for humour in BSL is a very important part of BSL.
