Functional differences in Unwritten Languages

Members of unwritten language communities maybe even think differently (eg with naming, categorisation and definition). Deaf people prefer to define something by giving examples rather than explaining what it means. For example the word “multinational business” could be defined by explaining “It is a company that trades in many countries” or by giving examples, “A company like Nike, Shell, Ikea or McDonalds”
