BSL QED Research part 4

The project team wanted to be able to report on all relevant curricula that was being used and began by asking universities in Britain questions about the curriculum that they used. This was followed by further research into what was happening world wide regarding sign language teaching and curriculum.

We approached a number of centres that taught sign language and asked them various questions about the curriculum they operated. We contacted CACDP, Durham University, a course that ran some time ago and used the American VISTA curriculum, here UCLAN, Bristol and University College London.  World wide we contacted America and the ASL curriculum, and in Europe contacted Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain and Holland.  We also contacted higher educational institutions that taught other languages such as French or German.
